If you give birth in one of our partner hospitals (University Hospital Zurich, Triemli municipal Hospital, Zollikerberg hospital, Kantonsspital Winterthur, Bülach hospital or Limmattal hospital) or if you live in the city of Zurich, the placement is free of charge. Otherwise, a fee of CHF 50.00 per placement applies.

The service of your midwife or registered nurse is fully covered by your health insurance. What do I have to do if I have registered but have organised a midwife myself in the meantime?
